The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a Government of India initiative designed to support early-stage startups in transforming innovative ideas into validated products, prototypes and commercially viable solutions.

The startup must be recognised by DPIIT.
The startup should have been incorporated not more than 2 years ago at the time of application.
Technology should be at the core of the product, service, business model, distribution model or methodology being used to solve the identified problem.
The proposed solution should demonstrate potential for market fit, viable commercialisation and scalability.
The startup should not have received more than ₹10 lakh of monetary support under any other Central or State Government scheme, subject to applicable exclusions.
Indian promoters should hold at least 51% shareholding in the startup at the time of application.
A startup cannot receive seed support more than once under the respective funding provisions of the scheme.
